From the Beer Garden

About

From the Beer Garden, est. 2005, started life as a column in the Vanguard of Portland State University, covering mainly the Trail Blazers and Portland State athletics. It continues to live on in the form of this unambitious blog that celebrates the simple things in life—namely sports, hot chicks, cold beer and the occasional snark attack.

We’ll talk about the Blazers (a lot), Red Sox, Mariners and Seahawks, cover what’s happening down south with the Ducks and Beavers, and provide insight into the Portland State Vikings’ resurgence. If (when) Lindsay Lohan accidentally exposes herself again, we’ll be on the case with hard evidence. If some dude gets knocked out by a chick on YouTube, the Beer Garden will help make his ass famous.

This blog was born because I’m a bored 24-year-old who just got dumped by my girlfriend. I watch way too much TV and can’t keep my mouth shut for more than 30 seconds. I have an opinion on everything and the attention span of an infant. I write for a living, but this isn’t intended to be about writing. It’s about the things that occupy the attention of a 20-something male. Mainly, sports, girls, guitars and finding out where the next party is.
